The votes have been submitted and results tallied. Only this time, there was no debate among the award selection committee and the (un)lucky recipients of April 2013′s Dick-in-a-Box were chosen pretty quickly. Your winners? The Boston bombers; Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
I’m pretty tired of talking about these guys, so lets make this quick. By now I’m sure you’re very familiar with the carnage and destruction caused by these guys on April 15th, 2013 (264 people injured, including 14 who required amputations, and 3 killed). And of course days later, on April 18th and 19th, when they murdered a MIT police officer, initiated a wild movie-esque chase and series of shootouts resulting in the critical wounding of another officer, death of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, city-wide lock-down and eventual capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.
I already wrote about the role masculine gender expectations and male privilege played in motivating these guys. If you want to know more about their plans and stated motivations just watch the news because there is still plenty of coverage going on. Frankly I don’t want to talk or write about them any more, so without further ado let’s pack this virtual ceremony up and get out of here.
